We came, we saw, and we helped our longtime friends from Houston’s Sentai Filmworks park a tank in front of the Los Angeles Convention Center during Anime Expo 2013.
In addition to helping source an actual tank to park in front of a major event center, Side Three’s Lance and Evan also scouted and hired actors and models for various events at Anime Expo. The Side Three team provided logistics and on-site management both before, during, and after the four day convention, which is the biggest and most well-attended annual Japanese animation event in the United States.
The end result? A massive splash in the fan press and tons of exposure for Sentai’s Girls und Panzer and Bodacious Space Pirates releases. Our team passed out well over 5,000 pieces of collateral that weekend, and the event is still mentioned among AX attendees and staff members.
If you’re thinking about throwing an event or making a splash at a convention, why not contact us? Thanks to our years of experience and our dizzying array of industry contacts, Side Three Digital can work with your team to craft a solution that will fit your budget AND impress your attendees. From art gallery openings to San Diego Comic Con, we’ve been there, and we’re excited about helping you make it there, too.
Here’s a small collection of video links and pictures of the tank, along with comments from dedicated fans. The tank itself was created by way of some amazing engineering from the fine folks at Panzer Fabrik in Colorado, and was transported to the convention space by way of a large truck.
